Step #1: First, open the glove box and take out all the components.

Step #2: Now, remove the limiting stop arm of the glove box which is on the right hand side. You just need to slide it off the pin.

Step #3: In order to release the glove box, grasp both the front and rear end of the glove box, pressing them towards each other until the side clamps come off. Once the sides are free; drop down the entire glove box so you can reach the faceplate to the cabin air filter channel.

Step #4: Now remove the old and clogged air filter. First, lift the latches given on each side of the faceplate that are used to secure them in place and slide it out of the way, allowing a freeway to the filter compartment. Now pull out the entire old cabin air filter but be very careful not to spill any dust or dirt from the air filter into your car.

Step #5: Before you put in new and fresh air filter, vacuum the filter chamberand wipe it clean with a damp cloth to get rid of any stray contaminants. After that, check the condition of the seals and gaskets to make sure they don’t need replacing as well.

Step #6: Make sure the new air filter you are installing matches the make and model of your car. You can refer to your car’s owner manual to verify this. Before you slide the new air filter all the way in, make sure the arrows are pointing in the same direction as the old filter you took out.

Step #7: Once the filter is installed, just change the faceplate and put the glove box back in.
